Technical Director
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Salary: 70,000 - 100,000 SAR (Monthly GBP equivalent £14,434 - £20,620)
Package Details: 14 days in a hotel covered by client when you first arrive in Saudi Arabia, 25 days annual leave, 12,000 SAR relocation allowance, 12,000 SAR allowance when you leave and want to return home, health & life insurance
What will I be doing?
You will be an internationally recognised Technical Director specialising in stadia and/or tall buildings for a prestigious giga project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will bring technical excellence, leadership, and a passion for delivering high-quality, safe, and innovative solutions for buildings in a large-scale, complex development.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, monitor, and manage the 3rd party consultants and in-house Structural engineering team members to manage the structural engineering process through each design stage with relentless focus on innovation, value-for-money, and excellence.
- Provide expert day-to-day management and control of the Structural engineering work throughout each design stage.
- Lead the in-house technical and contractual scope compliance reviews of all 3rd party consultant submittals.
- Actively participate in regular and ad-hoc design meetings and workshops.
- Provide consistent thought leadership related to delivering optimal value for money through effective, efficient, and innovative Structural engineering for stadia and/or tall buildings.
- Actively participate in the development of Structural l systems and collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated solutions.
- Provide design leadership and innovation in stadium and/or tall building complex Structural systems, including foundations, superstructure, roof, and façade.
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments in collaboration with our risk management team and propose and execute strategies and measures for complex Structural challenges to mitigate threats and exploit opportunities.
- Monitor and review the performance of the engineering team to ensure technical quality and design excellence.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership and clients regarding Structural/ Mechanical/ Electrical design and feasibility and constructability.
- Liaise with the client and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
What do I need?
- A professional degree in Structural Engineering; Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus.
- Extensive experience in Structural engineering for stadia and/or tall buildings.
- Expertise in advanced Structural design software.
- Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working on large-scale capital projects, particularly in high-rise and mixed-use developments as demonstrated by an impressive international body of work.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, and experience interfacing with high-level client representatives.
