SSSTS Supervisor

Role: Site Supervisor
Type: Freelance.
Start Date: 9/9/24
Location: Hemel Hempstead.
Duration: Ongoing.
Salary/Rate: Up to 260 per day via Ltd Company or PAYE Umbrella, dependent on skills and experience. This role has been deemed to be outside IR35 if necessary, if it passes the IR35 assessment, this will be assessed for each candidate.
 
We are currently in the process of hiring a skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a large-scale data centre in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will ensure that all site works are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project timelines and standards. This is a live working data centre that requires high standards on H&S and dust migration.
 
The work packages you will be responsible for in this role are:

• CSA
• Steelwork construction of gantry
• Plasterboard walls
• SFS wall system
• Ceilings
• Metal doors
• Cladding alterations
• Passive
• Builder work holes

As a Fit-Out Site Manager, your primary roles and responsibilities will include:

• Daily Site Management:

Supervise all on-site activities, ensuring work is carried out according to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.

• Health & Safety Compliance:

Enforce adherence to Health & Safety regulations on site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices.

• Quality Control:

Monitor work quality to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications, addressing any issues promptly.

• Team Coordination:

Coordinate and direct the workforce, ensuring that tasks are assigned effectively and that the team is working efficiently towards project milestones.
 

• Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, whether related to personnel, materials, or logistics.

• Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact between the on-site team and the project management, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and any changes to the plan.

• Resource Management:

Ensure the efficient use of materials, tools, and equipment, minimising waste and optimising resources.

• Site Inductions & Records:

Conduct site inductions for new workers and maintain accurate records of personnel and site activities.

• Site Safety & Security:

Oversee site security, ensuring that the site is secure and that safety protocols are consistently followed.

• Site environment:

Working on a live data centre.
 
Essential Criteria:

• 3+ years of construction site supervision or professional construction experience.
• Strong, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• An excellent eye and attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of construction processes, plans, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Must live within a commutable distance of Hemel Hempstead.
