Position: NEC 4 Supervisor  
Rate: £450 Outside IR35 
Location: Manchester - Golborne & Salford Cresent
Duration: 6 months +
Working Arrangements: 5 days on site
 
People Group are looking to recruit an NEC 4 supervisor from a rail client side background to work for a leading rail consultancy on AFA Schemes.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the progress of the site works generally, visiting the site at regular intervals as required to inspect the progress and quality of the works in accordance with the contract obligations and any local regulations.
  • Approve the contractors works and confirm that the performance criteria
  • Support the Project Manager in the review and management of the Contractors performance against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Advise on any value engineering solutions that effect the construction strategy offered by the Contractor to control costs.
  • Contribute to the development and completion of a Soft Landings strategy, and handover schedule for the project, prepared and developed in line with the design.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the preparation of schedules of Defects with input from the other consultants as required, issuing defects lists, and monitoring the correction of the Defects.
  • Implement a formal tests/inspection verification and validation process.
  • Witness testing and commissioning of the structural, mechanical, electrical, and public health and other services as necessary to monitor that works are carried out to the agreed method, logic, and programme, and in accordance with the commissioning specification.
  • Liaise with local authorities, organisers and site Contractors to obtain feedback, and provide updates on progress and coordination and make sure activities comply with any local regulations.

Essential

  • NEC 4 Supervisor Accredited 
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working for a Rail Clients, Local Authorities or Consultancies.
