We are partnering with a prestigious Main Contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage a portfolio of design packages on a high-profile Rail Infrastructure project. The portfolio is valued at approximately £100m, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing design packages, with a focus on NEC3 contracts—particularly Options F, C, and A.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor background to take on a pivotal role within a major infrastructure project, contributing to the successful delivery of one of the UK’s most ambitious schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of design packages for the HS2 project, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Provide expert cost management and commercial support for all design packages, ensuring the projects remain financially sound and aligned with contractual requirements.
- Administer and manage the NEC3 contract on all design packages, with a particular focus on Options F, C, and A.
- Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring the smooth running of the portfolio and the successful integration of design and construction phases.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, providing clear communication on commercial issues and contract matters.
- Support senior leadership with forecasting, reporting, and commercial strategy development.
- Proven experience managing design packages on large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally within the HS2 or similar environments.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC3 contracts, particularly Options F, C, and A.
- Solid background working with a Main Contractor, demonstrating strong experience in commercial management and cost control.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Previous experience managing a portfolio of projects valued at £100m+ is highly desirable.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to managing contracts, costs, and design packages.
