We are partnering with a prestigious Main Contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage a portfolio of design packages on a high-profile Rail Infrastructure project. The portfolio is valued at approximately £100m, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing design packages, with a focus on NEC3 contracts—particularly Options F, C, and A.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor background to take on a pivotal role within a major infrastructure project, contributing to the successful delivery of one of the UK’s most ambitious schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of design packages for the HS2 project, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Provide expert cost management and commercial support for all design packages, ensuring the projects remain financially sound and aligned with contractual requirements.
  • Administer and manage the NEC3 contract on all design packages, with a particular focus on Options F, C, and A.
  • Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring the smooth running of the portfolio and the successful integration of design and construction phases.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, providing clear communication on commercial issues and contract matters.
  • Support senior leadership with forecasting, reporting, and commercial strategy development.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience managing design packages on large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally within the HS2 or similar environments.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC3 contracts, particularly Options F, C, and A.
  • Solid background working with a Main Contractor, demonstrating strong experience in commercial management and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Previous experience managing a portfolio of projects valued at £100m+ is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to managing contracts, costs, and design packages.
Why Apply? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on the HS2 project, contributing to one of the UK’s most prestigious infrastructure schemes. If you are looking for a new challenge, with the opportunity to manage a significant portfolio of design packages, this role offers excellent growth potential and career progression.
If you have the right experience and are ready for a senior position on a landmark project, we encourage you to apply now.
