Senior Planner – Freelance – Manchester – Up to 6 months
A leading contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support a major project in Manchester. This freelance role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale development, contributing to the planning and delivery of a complex, high-profile expansion.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.

• Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and contractors to drive efficient project delivery.

• Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Provide regular reports and updates on programme performance and key milestones.

• Utilise industry-standard planning software (Primavera P6) to manage project schedules.

• Support risk analysis and change management processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in project planning within major projects.

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and other planning tools.

• Extensive NEC contract experience.

• Ability to analyse complex programmes and present clear, strategic solutions.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Previous experience in major construction or engineering programmes.
