The Role
We are seeking a skilled MEP Manager to oversee the successful delivery of MEP services across this landmark project. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency, while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the construction of MEP services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Manage site operations, including programme coordination, health & safety, quality control, and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors, and project teams.
- Oversee the programme review process, identifying productivity trends, blockers, and critical path risks using digital technologies.
- Implement rigorous Quality Assurance processes to ensure a high level of installation quality.
- Drive project delivery strategies, managing key milestones, logistics, and work sequencing.
- Ensure successful commissioning of MEP systems in line with industry best practices.
- Manage project close-out, ensuring all commissioning, as-built documentation, and snagging requirements are met.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support sustainability goals, contributing to the net zero carbon transition.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical knowledge of building services engineering, including installation and testing methods, prefabrication, and best practices.
- Basic understanding of other trades to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
- Experience in managing MEP projects valued at £5m+ within the construction sector.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and commissioning processes.
- Solid grasp of health, safety, and welfare regulations.
- Experience with digital setting out and scanning technologies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to work.
- Trade/Technical Engineering apprenticeship.
- SMSTS and CSCS certification.
- Accreditation with relevant professional bodies (CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE, CIOB) is desirable.
- Formal Engineering or Construction training (HNC, HND, BTEC, or equivalent).
