Quantity Surveyor - client side

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will initially support across a number of projects valued in the 1M - 10M cost range. You will be responsible for managing these projects from RIBA 0, guiding them through the pre-construction stages and then overseeing delivery and close out.

A snapshot of some of your core responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining complete project cost plans and cost estimates to support the governance and procurement processes
• Managing project budget, ensuring value for money and validation of costs using appropriate internal and external benchmarks
• Performing monthly cost reporting, including provision of Anticipated Final Cost, Actual Cost of Work Performed, and Forecast to Completion
• Managing the administration of contracts of varying values and complexity, driving compliance and contractual performance including NEC Option A, C and E, Construction Purchase Orders and Design Purchase Orders
• Supporting the tendering and evaluation process including selection of appropriate procurement strategy and contract, and production of pre-tender estimates.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Will be educated to HND or Degree level or equivalent in quantity surveying
• Have demonstrable experience in working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Tier One Contractor, Cost Consultancy or Client
• Have good working knowledge of the NEC form of contract, although JCT would also be fine

On offer is a salary of between 50,000 - 60,000 per annum along with a generous benefits package which includes the 15% bonus, a cash/travel allowance, private medical insurance, rail discount and an enhanced employer pension contribution.
