Job description
Position: Logistics Manager
Rate: £350 (Indicative Outside IR35)
Location: Birmingham
Duration: 6 months+
Start date: ASAP
Working Arrangements: Office Based - 5 days a week
The logistic manager will work with the site logistic operations lead, managing the day to day running of all logistic matters on site, in accordance with the client Standard and the site-specific Traffic Management & Logistic Plan (TM&LP). This will include but is not limited to, ensuring the provision of safe routes to and from the workplace for sub-contractor (SC) operatives, ensuring segregation between delivery vehicles and pedestrians, maintenance of clear walkways and evacuation routes, ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with a safe system of work and agreed RAMS. Any breaches of this are to be notified to the respective supervisor or manager.

The logistics manager will be responsible for the management of the following:
- Site set up including main and satellite accommodation.
- Facilities management of site accommodation & satellite facilities.
- Coordination of daily site activities, including offloading and distribution of materials.
- Plant & site equipment.
- Hoarding’s installation and management.
- Traffic management & haul roads (site).
- Pedestrian walkways & Crossings.
- Liaise with vehicle holding area (VHA) (off site).
- Waste Management.
- Logistic sub-contractor (Traffic marshals, fire marshals, hoist drivers, handymen and labourers).
Essential:
- You will have extensive experience gained working with a Tier One Contractor on a significant project, in the Rail sector and on a project with a construction value in excess of 500M
- CSCS Managers Card holder
- SMSTS
- Ability to use IT systems Yellowjacket management systems
