Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager for a temporary role on a high-profile construction project in Dublin. You will be working for the main contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide training and support to site personnel to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project management and site teams to ensure safety standards are maintained throughout all phases of construction.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety legislation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager within the construction sector, preferably on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
 
Duration: Temporary, 3-6 months
