Job description

Please note this is a remote role on a contract basis until mid April, however ocassional travel may be required to Surrey's offices.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical Finance Administrator with strong Excel skills to support financial operations within our client’s public sector scheme. This role requires keen attention to detail, excellent financial acumen, and proficiency in spreadsheet management to ensure the smooth handling of financial data and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports and data analysis using Excel and other financial tools.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth financial operations within the public sector framework.
  • Handle administrative tasks (queries & emails)  
Key Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience in financial administration, ideally within the public sector or a similar regulated environment.
  • A solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting and reporting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial processing.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with finance and administrative teams.
