Role: Commercial Manager
We are currently in the process of hiring a Commercial Manager to manage and oversee estimating costs, material quantities, and project timelines; on a large-scale construction project located on a major framework based in Northwest London, with one of our longest-tenured clients.
Type: Freelance.
Location: Northwest London.
Duration: Ongoing.
Salary/Rate: Up to £450 per day via Ltd Company or PAYE Umbrella, dependent on skills and experience. This role has been deemed to be outside IR35 if necessary, if it passes the IR35 assessment, this will be assessed for each candidate.
As a Freelance Commercial Manager, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:

As a Freelance Commercial Manager, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and time.
- Perform risk and value management, and cost control during construction.
- Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
- Managing project budget, ensuring value for money.
- Managing commercial, planning, and design teams on various strategies to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
- Advise and implement a procurement strategy.
- Must have 5+ years of Quantity Surveying Experience.
- Experience working for a main principal contractor.
- Effective analytical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to be based in Northwest London on site 5 days a week.
