Job Title: Trainee Document Controller
Location: Hampton - TW12
Start Date: 21st October
End Date: Jan 2025
Work Pattern: 40 hour week - OFfice based
Rate: £16.50 per hour (£132 per day) PAYE umbrella


People Group are looking for a Trainee Document Controller to work for a leading service provider in the water and wastewater infrastructure sectors in the UK.

Responsibilities: 
  • Able to track project documentation chase project teams for any outstanding
  • Handling intake, verification, creating new document numbers and storing documents
  • Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)
  • Copy, scan and store documents and distribute project-related copies to internal teams
  • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement and ensure the secure deposal of sensitive documents
  • Assisting employees with accessing documents through our document management systems (Sharepoint and Business Collaborator)
  • Distribute project related documents to internal and external teams
  • Make the teams aware of new versions, when they need to take action on documents and other key documentation submission deadlines
  • Make suggestions to the current process, contributing to the efficiency of the teams and help with the folder structure
  • Act as point of contact for document related matters

Essentials:
  • Experience in document management, archive management, or record management
  • Effective communication skills and commercial awareness
  • Fully competent at using IT systems and Office software
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) like Salesforce/Boxit, Sharepoint/Teams and Twexnet (Business Collaborator)
  • Preferred but not essential – experience of working within a client organisation
  • A project control qualification (desirable)
