Your core responsibilities will be:
- Leading all elements of cost management from start to finish.
- Managing multiple projects and/or large-scale projects with key clients.
- Establishing and managing a high-performing cost management team.
- Delivering high-level feasibility studies, cost estimates, and cost plans at each stage of the design process.
- Supporting and supervising the junior member of the team to ensure that the cost management service is efficient and productive.
- Assisting the senior team with business planning while contributing to gaining repeat business and new clients.
- Preparing and issuing tender documents.
- Managing the tender process, evaluating and analysing the tender returns, and providing recommendations to the clients, in addition to providing procurement advice.
- Analysing the cost of construction designs and alternative proposals to maintain within the project budget.
- Providing advises on building contract terms.
- Providing effective post-contract cost control procedures, including determining the effect of changes and analysing and negotiating final account settlements.
- Developing and maintaining connections with clients and consultants.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience working on technically complex projects.
- Collaborative approach to projects and the ability to delegate tasks to junior staff efficiently.
- Degree in a relevant field (Quantity Surveying or RICS accredited course)
