Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services (Remote)

An independent Engineering Consultancy at the forefront of the Energy and Building Services Engineering sector is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. The team is looking for passionate and driven individuals who want to contribute to a mission focused on making a positive impact. Their head office is based in Northamptonshire but for the right candidate, they offer this is a fully remote position.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
6+ years of UK building services experience.
Progressing towards or recently achieved professional membership status (Chartered or Associate).
Strong communication skills for a client-facing role.
Analytical, resourceful, and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the electrical lead or project manager on various projects.
Design lighting, small power, fire alarm, lightning protection, sub-mains distribution, voice/data infrastructure, security, and ancillary electrical services.
Utilise design software to prepare calculations and designs.
Prepare specifications, written reports, and condition surveys.
Compile equipment schedules.
Draw schematics, general arrangements, and sections for electrical services, and mark up drawings.
