Job description

Are you an experienced and dynamic Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity in the Highways sector? This is an exciting opportunity to work with a main contractor on a new scheme valued at over £25 million. Joining in the earlier stages of this long-term delivery, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of this development in local infrastructure. You will be managing two of the largest sub-contracts on the project, so this role is perfect for a Quantity Surveyor seeking more autonomy in their role and also aiming for progression up to Senior level within the next 12-18 months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the team in managing budgets, contracts, and project progress.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project delivery including minor resolution disputes.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and cost estimates.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on project expenditure.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., degree, RICS membership, etc.)
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the highways or civil engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrable experience utilizing the NEC suite of contracts (particularly options A & B)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

What’s in it for you? Alongside a competitive salary, you will be entitled to a comprehensive benefits package including a car scheme, pension contributions, healthcare benefits, 25 days annual leave, support with professional developments and a hybrid working model plus much more.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to be involved in a high-profile and rewarding project. If you are looking to further your career in a challenging yet supportive environment, we encourage you to apply.
