Job description
Are you an experienced and dynamic Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity in the Highways sector? This is an exciting opportunity to work with a main contractor on a new scheme valued at over £25 million. Joining in the earlier stages of this long-term delivery, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of this development in local infrastructure. You will be managing two of the largest sub-contracts on the project, so this role is perfect for a Quantity Surveyor seeking more autonomy in their role and also aiming for progression up to Senior level within the next 12-18 months.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in managing budgets, contracts, and project progress.
- Liaise with stakeholders and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project delivery including minor resolution disputes.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and cost estimates.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on project expenditure.
Ideal Candidate:
- Hold a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., degree, RICS membership, etc.)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the highways or civil engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding and demonstrable experience utilizing the NEC suite of contracts (particularly options A & B)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
