Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Wickford, Essex
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Mechanical Project Manager to join one of our clients to work out of their Wickford office. With a track record of successful project delivery, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical for main contractors, whom they have strong relationships with. This role combines the critical responsibilities of overseeing multiple projects at once while ensuring their successful delivery through managing the financial aspects and pricing. While not required to be on-site full-time, you will conduct regular site visits (2-3 days a week) and ensure the seamless execution of works.
Role Overview: As a Project manager, you will be responsible for providing support for planning, organising, and executing the project. You will be working and reporting directly to the Project Director as well as working closely alongside external client staff, key stakeholders, and the internal team. You will be expected to be responsible for specific tasks to bring projects to life.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supporting and reporting to the Project Director.
- Responsible for organising RAMS, procuring materials, project programme management and communication with clients and the site team.
- Good technical knowledge of mechanical installations and products/regulations.
- Assisting with day-to-day liaison with stakeholders.
- Lead project delivery with responsibility for total costs of up to £1M.
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Conduct regular site visits and oversee project progress (2-3 days a week).
- Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss project updates and challenges.
- Report directly to the Construction Director with project milestones and performance metrics updates.
- Be diligent, and efficient and pay great attention to detail to deliver quality output.
- Ability to understand M&E drawings and gain an understanding of potential issues.
- Assisting in data collection development and analysis to ensure correct decision-making.
- Track and report the progress of ongoing projects.
- Full autonomy of Health and Safety on site.
Essential criteria:
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexibly/out of hours to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- SMSTS or equivalent Construction Health & Safety Certificate.
- Must live within commutable distance of Wickford.
Preferred Criteria:
- Prior live construction environment experience, such as – Hospitals, Museums, Stadiums and Commercial offices.
- 2+ years of Mechanical Project Management or professional construction experience.
