Mechanical Project Manager 
MEP Contracting / Building Services (Construction) 
Kent / Home Working 
 
 
My client is a dynamic medium-sized Building Services Contractor based in Ipswich, specializing in commercial and education projects. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality Building Services installations, they’ve built strong relationships with clients across various industries. 

Due to growth, a Mechanical Project Manager is required to join the business. Your main place of work would be the office in Kent.

Responsibilities:  
  • Take full ownership and accountability for Mechanical contracts, from tendering stage to final handover. 
  • Provide accurate and detailed mechanical cost estimates, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. 
  • Collaborate with the design team to review mechanical specifications and drawings, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and industry standards. 
  • Oversee the procurement process for mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets. 
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve any technical issues that may arise. 
  • Implement effective project management practices, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment. 
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure that mechanicalinstallations meet the highest standards and client expectations. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Provide guidance and support to the site team regarding mechanical installations, troubleshooting, and resolving any technical challenges. 
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes, applying them to enhance project delivery and drive continuous improvement.
