Mechanical Construction Manager
MEP Contracting (Building Services)
Central London

My client is a globally recognized, market-leading Tier 1 M&E contractor with extensive experience delivering high-profile projects across the UK and Europe. They specialize in a wide range of sectors, including major commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical developments.

They are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee the pre-construction and delivery of a large-scale new build commercial project which conisits of offices and Labs located in central London worth £20mil M&E. This project is set to begin on-site in April 2025, with completion scheduled for April 2027.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Oversee mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Manage on-site mechanical works, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and coordinate mechanical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and efficient project execution.
  • Review mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure all mechanical installations meet industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate the procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring timely delivery to meet project schedules.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other construction teams to ensure effective collaboration and problem resolution.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical installations, ensuring safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Provide regular project updates, including reporting on progress, budget, and any potential delays or issues.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems, ensuring they operate as designed before project completion.
