In this role, you will play a key part in managing the pre-construction phase of multiple projects across London.

This company enjoys a relaxed and mature environment, and trusts its staff to perform to the best of its ability, without the micro-management and aggressiveness that you often see within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with design teams to review and refine mechanical system designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, tender packages, and value engineering options for mechanical works.
  • Provide technical expertise during pre-construction, advising on system selection, feasibility, and build ability.
  • Assist in creating project schedules, identifying key milestones, and aligning mechanical activities with overall timelines.
  • Work with procurement teams to evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids, ensuring alignment with project specifications and budgets.
  • Identify potential design or construction risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and internal teams, to ensure smooth project transition into construction.
  • Promote innovative and sustainable solutions to enhance project efficiency and environmental performance.
Requirements:
  • Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a pre-construction role within the building services or MEP sector.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, design standards, and construction practices.
