Construction - Residential Development
Overview:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Lead to join a well-established residential developer with a major scheme based in Hertfordshire. Backed by strong financial investment, this project is delivering 1,500 units with an expected project life span of over 10 years.
This role would suit a commercially astute individual with a background in high-volume or high-end residential developments, who can take the lead commercially and assist in masterplan redesign and strategic commercial delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the commercial function on a significant residential scheme.
- Collaborate on redesigning the masterplan to enhance delivery and value.
- Oversee a team comprising of 5 surveyors with ranging experience levels.
- Ensure smooth commercial operations and compliance with existing agreements.
- Manage and maintain relationships with a strong network of pre-agreed subcontractors.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure financial targets are met.
- Work closely with construction and design teams to deliver against programme targets.
- Proven experience in a senior commercial role within residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and commercial practices.
- Ability to oversee large-scale schemes and work collaboratively with internal teams.
- Experience managing subcontractor agreements and supplier relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to influence design and delivery plans.
