A property consultancy in London’s West End is looking to grow their H&S division with the addition of a Health & Safety CDM Consultant. The commercially focused organisation is looking for a driven professional to compliment the team.
 
My client is a global consultancy who boasts offices across the UK. They provide high levels construction advice across the built environment, the H&S team predominately undertakes projects in the commercial, residential, retail, education and hospitality sectors.
 
This role is ideal for a H&S CDM Principal Designer from a proven consultancy background, you will deliver multi-million pound schemes across London and the surrounding home counties. You the successful H&S professional will provide a range of comprehensive CDM and Principal Design services. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a Senior position you will be offered a transparent development programme which encourages organic promotion.

Responsibilities

• Experienced in the delivery of the statutory duty of Principal Designer and the non-statutory roles of Principal Designer Advisor and Client CDM Advisor under the CDM Regulations 2015.
• Identify, assess, prepare and communicate Pre-Construction Information on behalf of Clients
• Identify and, where reasonably practicable eliminate, reduce or control foreseeable risks that may arise during pre-construction phase, via Design Risk Review Workshops / Safety in Design Reviews
• Understand/evaluate Construction Phase Plans, Method Statements, Design Risk Management & Risk Registers.
• Undertake the role, duties and responsibilities to assist Clients, Principal Designers, Designers and Principal Contractors in understanding their statutory duties and ensuring the design process is compliant to CDM 2015 regulations.
• Undertake Health & Safety Site Inspections and produce reports in accordance with current regulations.
• Assist and support, in the continual development and improvement of the CDM consultancy services.
• Manage and deliver several projects within a financial and time target.

CDM Consultant

• Ideally you will have a construction related degree (desirable)
• Minimum of 18 months in a similar role
• NEBOSH in Construction or equivalent
• Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body
• Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Full UK drivers licence
