Job description
Do you have a background in Civil Engineering or Construction and want the exposure to a £30m package of inland marine works? We want to hear from you!
An exclusive opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on a landmark, multi-billion pound Nuclear project with our client, a specialist Civil Engineering and Environmental contractor.
This role offers amazing scope to hone in on your commercial skill whilst working alongside one of the country's leading Engineering contractors shaping the future of Britain, providing reliable and low-carbon power for 6 million homes.
The role will be ideal for an Assistant or graduate QS that has a general understanding of the NEC3 contract and has an interest in managing direct costs and self-delivered works. You don't need to have prior marine or civil experience but similar industries would be advantageous. Developing the team is key to our client, if you are currently working towards your HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, they are able to and keen to support in anyway that may help.
About you:
* An understanding of the NEC3 suite of contracts
* Prior contract administration
* Contributing to Cost Reporting meetings
This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days per week on site in Suffolk working closely with the project Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager. Ready to take the next step in your career? Apply today or reach out to lauren.ohare@peoplegroup.com
