Job description

A Tier 1 MEP Contractor is looking for a Principal Temporary Works Coordinator to join their team. This business has a secure project pipeline for the next 20 years in the UK within the energy sector. 


This position will based on one of the most high profile projects in the UK at the moment and offers the chance to be part of a historic project.

As Principal Temporary Works Coordinator, you will work closely with all stakeholders to develop and deliver Temporary Works on site.



Responsibilities will include:
  • Managing Temporary Works and fulfilling TWC requirements.
  • Develop and verifying approved Temporary Works designs before commencement.
  • Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and all legislative and standards relating to Temporary Works. 
  • Mentoring and developing a team of TWSs.
  • Collaborating with contractors’ TWCs to manage Temporary Works.
  • Attending and contributing to various meetings and providing advice on Temporary Works.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential Temporary Works issues.



To be successful in this position, you will need:
  • Demonstrable experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • Proficiency in relevant design and engineering software (E.g. AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, or similar)
  • Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • CITB Certification as a Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • NEBOSH, or equivalent.
  • SMSTS or equivalent.



On offer is a salary of 70,000 - 80,000 per annum with a strong benefits package including a car allowance, pension, and 25 days holiday.
