People Group are looking to recruit a Pre-Construction Engineer to help a Tier 1 contractor mobilise the AMP 8 Southern Water Framework
Responsibilities:
- Production of MEICA designs, calculations and specifications for water-sector assets.
- Assisting with preparation of flowsheets and engineering line diagrams and supervising plant layout and pipework design including 3D modelling
- Supporting the Project Management team in the delivery of MEICA projects.
- Working within multi-discipline design teams to produce designs which are on time, within budget and meet the required standards, liaising with stakeholders including Operations, contractors, and suppliers along the way.
- Drive excellence in Health and Safety in design by eliminating hazards and reducing risks during design whilst complying with Alliance CDM procedures.
- Progress projects from the feasibility stage through detailed design to construction.
- Undertake site visits to assess the current condition of our assets for feasibility studies, and reports and provide survey data for integration of the asset into our design solution. ?
- Provide support to update existing, and increase the number of, Standard Products that are used within our design solutions on a repeatable basis.
- Identify and promote opportunities to meet the project's digital, sustainability, innovation and people objectives.
- Collaborating with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and contractors, to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Developing and overseeing project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Supporting the project team in preparing detailed MEICA & interface engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Preparing and delivering project progress reports and presentations to clients and project stakeholders
- Experience working as a Pre-construction Engineer within the Water sector.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering related subject, ideally in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, ICA, Manufacturing or Civil engineering.
- SMSTS or NEBOSH qualified.
- Relevant CSCS Card (Either Experienced Technical Supervisor, Supervisory, Professionally Qualified Person, or Manager).
- Familiar with programme management and maintenance.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation regarding safe work practise.
- CSCS card.
