My client is a dynamic and growing company known for delivering high-value, complex projects, from contemporary new builds to period refurbishments. As an MEP Manager, you’ll be joining a highly experienced and collaborative team, playing a critical role in ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of our prestigious projects are delivered to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a passion for excellence and a commitment to growth.

What will you be doing?
  • Design Management: Review design information for accuracy and raise RFIs where necessary. Ensure MEP sub-contractors receive timely and accurate information.
  • Tender Review: Collaborate with the QS team to ensure tender packages are complete and correctly interpreted. Review schedules of rates, materials, and plant costs.
  • Project Meetings: Organize and chair regular sub-contractor and design review meetings. Prepare and circulate meeting notes with actionable and time-bound points.
  • Progress Monitoring: Work closely with project and site management teams to develop look-ahead programmes, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure installations align with the construction issue drawings and maintain compliance with project quality plans.
  • Sub-contractor Management: Monitor MEP sub-contractor work against project requirements, assisting the QS team in monthly valuations of MEP elements.

Let’s talk about you…
  • Communication: Strong people skills with the ability to manage senior-level sub-contractor teams, as well as de-escalate and negotiate during disputes.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to work within strict deadlines and re-plan in response to changing project needs.
  • Technical Expertise: A keen eye for detail with the ability to accurately interpret construction drawings and site plans.
  • Process-Oriented: Ability to operate in a process-driven environment, focusing on outcomes and ensuring smooth progress of works on-site.
  • Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with the construction planning (programming) process, experience in working on refurbishment of listed buildings, and prior delivery of “super prime” residential projects.
  • Professional Requirements: Full UK driving licence, right to work in the UK, and experience in handling high-value construction projects.

What do you get in return?
  • Competitive Salary Package
  • Professional Development: Opportunities for growth through training and development programs.
  • Supportive Work Environment: A team-focused culture that promotes collaboration and continuous learning.
