Location: Hertfordshire (Office preferred, with options for hybrid work)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
About the Role: Join a renowned design-led specialist in architectural metalwork and glazing contracting with over 30 years of industry experience. The firm excels in providing innovative design solutions for public transport infrastructure and high-security projects, including landmark contracts.
Role Overview: As a Junior Designer, you will assist in creating detailed designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Your contributions will support a variety of projects, including architectural metalwork and glazing installations. Reporting to the Design Director and Senior Design Engineer, you will work within a collaborative team to bring design concepts to life.
Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed designs and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure project requirements are met.
• Support senior designers in project execution from concept through to completion.
• Participate in site visits to gather data and inform design decisions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of design principles and construction methods.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to commute to the office daily is preferred, but hybrid work arrangements are possible.

Preferred Criteria:

• Previous experience in architectural metalwork or glazing design projects.
