Health & Safety Manager

Role: Freelance Health & Safety Manager
Rate: £450 per day
Location: North-West London
Duration: 6-9 months
 
We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager for a freelance contract with a leading Tier 1 Contractor. This role will be based on a major project in North-West London, where you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, driving best practices, and fostering a strong safety culture on-site.
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain health and safety policies in accordance with industry regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) reviews.
• Provide guidance and training to site teams to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Carry out regular site inspections and audits, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Liaise with key stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach to health and safety.
• Keep up to date with legislation and industry best practices to continuously improve site safety.

 
 
Requirements:           

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the construction sector, ideally on large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams.
• Ability to work independently and proactively manage site safety requirements.

• Competitive daily rate, depending on experience
