​Ricky worked with our company to help deliver our recruitment needs mainly around the Construction and Project areas of the business via a secondment, from January 2022 to November 2022. Ricky is a very experienced and competent recruitment specialist, adept and confident in his ability to source relevant candidates and provide market advice, guidance and trends. Ricky has the ability to build good rapport with candidates and work well with other providers to support our recruitment strategy. Whilst working here, Ricky also built a talent pipeline tool and has been attentive to short notice changes in recruitment needs and helped problem solve. Ricky is a team player, hardworking and has been a great support during an exceptionally busy period for the HR team.

​Ricky Robson is an exceptional talent in the field of efficient, determined, market-leading recruitment delivery.Changes within the talent acquisition team coupled with an increase in secured work, left us with more vacancies than we could deliver; as such we needed interim external support, which meant reaching out to People Group as a trusted partner. Ricky gelled with the existing team, built immediate relationship with stakeholders across the business and opened up new talent pools within niche markets. He challenged poor behaviour in a productive way and took historically difficult, stubborn stakeholders on ‘his journey’.An initial period of 3 months with Mace soon extended to 9 months, concluding with Ricky becoming a key member of the talent acquisition team. Ricky delivered above and beyond our expectations, recruiting great talent, reducing agency spend within the engine he recruited for, leaving a legacy of great happy candidates and happy clients. He went above and beyond, integrating into the team fully, even supporting Mace charity partners on volunteering days and ultimately replacing himself with a permanent employee who has settled well.If any one of our competitors, supply chain or clients were looking for an embedded or interim internal recruitment solution, I would highly recommend Ricky and The People Group; we were sorry to see Ricky’s time with Mace come to an end.
